David C. Harkins, D.O.

Dr. Harkins completed a Fellowship in Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. He did his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Des Peres Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his medical degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Dr. Harkins is Board Certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery.

Dr. Harkins specializes in shoulder, upper extremity, and reconstructive surgery as well as fracture and degenerative care. Dr. Harkins is trained in the most advanced technology for shoulder reconstruction and sport injury surgery.

Dr. Harkins enjoys spending time with his wife and four children. He enjoys participating in sports, both his own and his children’s. He enjoys trying to stay in shape and runs 3 times a week, works out, and participates in Karate. He runs 5Ks and 10Ks occasionally, when time permits, and is considering training for a triathlon when he is fully recovered from surgery. He reads and is very involved in his church.
