As a total orthopedic care center, our physicians specialize in orthopedic surgery and handle the diagnosis and treatment of diseases and injuries of the bones, muscles, tendons, nerves and ligaments in both adults and children.
Athens Orthopedic Clinic has board certified and fellowship trained specialists in every body part to give our patients the highest quality care possible. In addition to their own continuting eduation, Athens Orthopedic Clinic hosts an annual Continuing Medical Education conference open to primary care physicians, physician’s assistants, nurse practitioners and physical therapists. This orthopedic update is offered free of charge to the medical community and has become a much anticipated event for both our clinic and the community.
Focus on Patients
At Athens Orthopedic Clinic, our patients come first. Our doctors, physician’s assistants, and nurses take the time to listen to patients, address their questions and make sure they understand all aspects of their treatment. Our goal is to first pursue all avenues of nonsurgical treatment, and only allow patients to undergo surgery if it is truly necessary. Click here to view our Patient Success Stories!
Commitment to Research
Many of our physicians currently participate in medical research. Dr. Mahoney has been successful in the development of a revolutionary device used in knee replacement surgery. Dr. Shuler is working on a grant from the Department of Defense to gauge post-operative recovery through the use of bracing. Dr. Tally has assisted in the development of a device used in minimally invasive spine surgery and is one of only 20 doctors in the country to work as a physician mentor in performing these cutting-edge surgeries. These efforts and more have put our physicians on the forefront of the medical technology and they are here to serve you.
