Jefferson Rabe is a native of coastal South Carolina. This is where he first found his interest in sports medicine through becoming a student athletic trainer. He furthered this interest by attending College of Charleston where he majored in athletic training and gained his certification. This allowed him to gain experience in a wide variety of athletic settings through working with multiple sports teams. While at College of Charleston he also participated in undergraduate research focused on ACL injury risk factors and prevention.
He furthered his medical education by earning his masters in Physician Assistant Studies at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. It is while living in Charleston he met his wife Jill, and they have since welcomed two boys to the family. Jefferson enjoys spending time with his family outdoors including hiking, camping and gardening. He is happy to have joined Dr. Stephen Johnson’s team at Athens Orthopedic Clinic and looks forward to helping patients maintain and return to an active lifestyle.
