About Brian Beard PTA, BSPTA, TPS

Brian joined Athens Orthopedic Clinic in December of 2022 and has more than 15 years’ experience providing quality patient rehabilitative care in not only outpatient orthopedics, but inpatient rehabilitation, as well as home health care.

Brian earned his Associates of Science Degree in Physical Therapist Assisting from Athens Technical College in Athens, Georgia in 2007, and subsequently completed his Bachelors of Science Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona in 2018.

In 2026, Brian completed an intensive professional certification program to become a  Therapeutic Pain Specialist (TPS) with advanced training in contemporary pain science, pain neuroscience education, and evidence-informed pain management. With extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation, he is passionate about integrating modern pain science into clinical practice to improve patient outcomes and enhance the surgical recovery experience.

Brian’s interests include music performance, as well as studying and practicing Kung Fu, and teaching Tai Chi.
