About Clayton Wing, MD

A native of Georgia, Dr. Wing brings an impressive background of clinical training and academic excellence. Most recently, he completed an Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fla., where he focused on advanced techniques in hip and knee replacement. He previously completed a five-year orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic, a nationally recognized leader in musculoskeletal care.

Dr. Wing has published extensively in top-tier orthopedic journals and has presented his research at national conferences. His clinical interests include joint replacement and outpatient arthroplasty. Dr. Wing is passionate about delivering personalized, evidence-based care to patients.

A native of Georgia, Dr. Wing received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, graduating with honors. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in Nutrition from the University of Georgia, and he’s a graduate of North Oconee High School. He is excited to return to the Athens area. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, hunting, golfing, cooking and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
