About John R. Dorris, III, MD

Dr. Dorris treats shoulders, knees and hips in patients in the Athens and Royston clinic locations.

Dr. Dorris is a board certified orthopedic surgeon who received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Dorris completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Emory University.  After his residency, he went to Steadman Hawkins Clinic in Vail, Colorado to complete his fellowship. Dr. Dorris and his wife, Leslie, live in Athens with their two boys.
