About Makenzie Grilliot

Makenzie is from Dayton, Ohio and grew familiar with orthopedics as a competitive gymnast for many years.

Makenzie initially moved to Athens in 2016 to attend the University of Georgia. She continued to participate in athletics as a member and captain of the University of Georgia Rowing Club, where she was recognized as an All-American, All-Region, and All-Academic athlete.

Makenzie received a Bachelors in Exercise and Sport Science from UGA in 2020, then completed her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies in 2022 at Augusta University. After graduate school, she moved back to Athens to work with Dr. David Katz at Athens Orthopedic Clinic. In her free time, Makenzie enjoys spending time with friends, attending concerts, and traveling.
