About McKenna Denman, OTR/L, CHT

McKenna began with Athens Orthopedic Clinic as an Occupational Therapy technician in 2017.

Hand therapy is what originally inspired McKenna to become an occupational therapist. As a lifelong learner, she loves that there is always more to discover about the intricate hand and wrist (they’re so complex!), and excels at sharing this knowledge through in-depth client education. She specializes in a variety of upper extremity injuries and is particularly fascinated by thumb injuries and arthritis-related care.

McKenna is a graduate of Augusta University’s Occupational Therapy program and has been working with AOC since 2021. In 2024, she received her hand therapy certification to become a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT). McKenna is passionate about people knowing they matter, by helping them be as independent as possible in the activities that mean the most to them. She enjoys connecting with clients to provide compassionate and individualized care. When not at work, McKenna enjoys being outside, spending time with friends and family, and playing music.
