About Sam Greavu, PT, DPT, Cert. D.N., Cert. MDT

Sam is joining the Athens Orthopedic Clinic SPARC rehabilitation team after working 5 years in Eatonton, GA.

Sam is a dedicated and experienced physical therapist with a strong foundation in both athletics and rehabilitative care. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia in 2008, where he was also a proud member of the UGA Men’s Basketball team. His background as a student-athlete laid the groundwork for his passion for helping others return to peak performance.

In 2013, he earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia, deepening his expertise in evidence-based treatment and patient-centered care. He joined Athens Orthopedic Clinic in 2018, where he has had the privilege of working with a diverse patient population to restore function, reduce pain, and support long-term recovery.

Sam holds certifications in Dry Needling and the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). His clinical interests include sports rehabilitation, manual therapy, post-operative rehabilitation, dry needling, and the MDT approach to spine and joint care. He takes pride in creating individualized treatment plans that support each patient’s unique goals and needs, from injury recovery to performance optimization.
