Summary

This study compares patients with and without insertional Achilles tendinopathy to determine whether the size of Haglund deformity, a bony prominence at the back of the heel, is associated with the condition. The researchers found no association between deformity size and tendinopathy, suggesting that routine removal of the prominence may not always be necessary during surgery.
