Abbey Mott OTR/L

Hand & Occupational Therapy

Abbey started her journey at Athens Orthopedic Clinic in 2019 as a rehabilitation technician after graduating from The University of Georgia. It was during that time period that she learned all about being a hand therapist and realized her passion for this setting of occupational therapy. From 2020 to 2022, Abbey attended Georgia State University where she gained her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. She returned to working in the hand therapy department at Athens Orthopedic Clinic as a graduate student in 2022 and has now joined the team as a therapist herself. Abbey is passionate about helping others, whether that be in big ways or small. She has always wanted to be a therapist as it is a career that would allow her to connect with people and make a difference in others’ lives. She is very excited to become a helping hand (no pun intended) and friend to her patients and colleagues. Outside of being a hand therapist, Abbey loves spending time with her friends & family, running around with her dog, Bear, and watching the Georgia Bulldogs dominate.
